I aim to capture you in a light that reflects your character - which I hope to have a fair understanding of leading up to the shoot. Each location that you shoot at should mean something to you; the location could be pretty, or you could have had lectures there every single quarter or semester of your time at school. I hope that my photos strike a special kind of joy that you don't get every day. One singular location can be portrayed many ways, and I hope that wherever you choose to have your photos taken, you can take pride in seeing how the environment captures you in the best way possible, and that you can claim your pictures as uniquely yours.
I take immense pride in the fact that I wasn't trained; I never took a photography class, nor did I have any particular guidance. I was handed a camera by my dad, taught some basic features, and sent out into the world. While other photographers may have their tried-and-true methods, I think that it takes away the character from their pictures. The moment you start following rules is the moment that you lose that complete uniqueness. I hope to keep my photos purely from my creative vision.
It really is more than just the photos.
When you go to take your graduation photos. Its more than just meeting up with me, and having your pictures taken. Its the process, finding a date and time, showing me a vision board, and having any and all your questions answered. And when the day comes, it's time to make the magic happen, its getting to know you at a deeper level. The pictures that you get should not only be a reflection of my work, but a reflection of who you are as a person. During the shoot, no matter how long or how short, it should pose as a marker to honor and to celebrate the real begining of your life.
